Day 3 of murder, dismemberment trial turns to DNA

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — What’s believed to be the final day of testimony in the Jared Chance murder trial is underway with prosecutors focusing on DNA and autopsy evidence. 

Unlike many murder trials, the prosecution in this case can’t say for sure how 31-year-old Ashley Young was killed because her head, hands and feet are missing. That makes circumstantial connections even more important for the prosecution in solidifying its case that Chance murdered and dismembered Young.
