WML Thursday: Ban on Flavored E-Cigs, Box Office Preview, & Good News

1  Governor Gretchen Whitmer made news yesterday when she announced that Michigan will be the first state in the nation to place a ban on flavored nicotine vaping products. 

An executive action of sorts, would be a full ban of online and retail sales of sweet, fruity, minty and menthol-flavored products.

Does it go too far? Or is this an emergency like the governor says?

2 Dorian strengthened to a Category 3 storm overnight. It's pummeling South Carolina this morning with winds well over 100 mph and flooding the city of Charleston. Anywhere from 15 to 20 inches of rain is predicted to fall along South Carolina's coast. More than 73,000 people in South Carolina and Georgia are without power right now. Dorian could make landfall late tonight near Morehead City, North Carolina.

3 On the heels of the announcement by Walmart to stop selling certain guns and ammunition in their stores, spokesman for Meijer said in a statement 

"During the past year, Meijer has made several changes to our policies regarding ammunition, including increasing the age of purchase," 

"In light of recent events, we are evaluating our ammunition offerings as well as our policies regarding customers carrying firearms into our stores."
