PLAINWELL, Mich. (WOOD) — Consumers Energy says it has restored power to thousands of customers in Allegan County who lost service Friday morning.
At the outage’s peak, 5,734 customers without power in Plainwell-Ostego area, according to the Consumers Energy outage map. The outage was first reported shortly before 5:30 a.m. Friday.

As of 11:08 a.m. Friday, the outages in Allegan County were down to 5 customers.
The utility company told 24 Hour News 8 that a tree fell on a line in the 700 block of Glenview Drive near Washington Avenue in Plainwell, leading to the problem.
