GR bicyclist killed in crash involving semi ID’d

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A Grand Rapids man was killed after his bicycle collided with a semi-truck in Grand Rapids Thursday morning, police say.

It happened around 5:40 a.m. near the intersection of Turner Avenue and 6th Street on the city’s West Side.

Police say 19-year-old Devin Lamont of Grand Rapids was on a bicycle, heading west on 6th Street when he went through the intersection without stopping. His bicycle collided with a semi-truck that was turning left onto 6th Street.
