Two injured in Ionia County as their disabled car is hit

BOSTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two people were reported injured when an immobilized vehicle was rear-ended on I-96 near Clarksville.

The crash happened around 7 p.m. Monday on westbound I-96 near the Nash Highway exit in Boston Township, Ionia County emergency dispatchers told 24 Hour News 8.

Initial reports to dispatch indicated that a car had stopped and someone was changing a tire when the car was hit from behind.

Dispatchers said two people were reported injured, though the extent of their injuries was not immediately available. It was also not immediately clear if the injured parties were in the stopped vehicle or the one that rear-ended it.
