F-16 Fighter Jet Crashes Into Large Warehouse In California

(Riverside, CA) -- Officials are evacuating a large warehouse after a fighter jet slammed into the roof near March Air Reserve Base in Riverside, California.

The plane was reportedly carrying a live weapon when it crashed, which is why they are keeping people out of the building. The sprinkler system inside the building helped to put out the flames.

Reports claim the jet was taking off when something apparently went wrong.

The pilot ejected before the plane crashed and landed on the airfield. There is no word on the pilot's condition.

The 215 Freeway is shut down as a precaution because the warehouse is just on the other side of the freeway and the air base.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
