GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (via WOOD TV) — Grand Rapids Public Schools has selected an interim superintendent to take over when the current superintendent retires.
Ron Gorman, Ph.D., is currently the assistant superintendent of preschool through 12th-grade instructional support. He will take over the interim superintendent job July 1, school board members decided at a special work session Monday.
He's been with the district for nearly two decades, during which time he has been an elementary and secondary teacher, assistant principal, athletic director, principal and the executive director of secondary schools.
