Woman sought after passing fake $100 in Mecosta Co.

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are searching for a woman who tried to pass a counterfeit $100 bill in Mecosta County.

It happened around 4:00 p.m. Friday at a Jimmy John’s on 21445 Perry Ave, Big Rapids. 

The Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office said a woman tried to buy a sandwich and drink with the counterfeit bill. Employees discovered the bill was a fake before finishing the transaction.

The suspect is described as a skinny woman with black hair below her shoulders, possibly with dreadlocks. She was seen driving away in a gray Hyundai Tucson SUV with Arizona plate BPC8806.
