2 Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has made it official: The administration won't be turning President Trump's tax returns over to the Democratic-controlled House. Mnuchin told Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal in a Monday letter that the committee's request "lacks a legitimate legislative purpose.

3 House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler scheduled a Wednesday vote to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress after the department failed to hand over a full, unredacted version of Mueller's Trump-Russia report. 

Meanwhile, The Justice Department is proposing a meeting to reach an "acceptable accommodation"

Hundreds of ex-Justice Department officials put out an extraordinary open letter saying if he weren't President, Trump would be facing multiple obstruction of justice charges, based on what's in special counsel Robert Mueller's report.

We’ll file that letter next to the one that was sent regarding Hillary Clinton and her emails..

Humanity's ever-growing population and seemingly insatiable consumption are destroying the natural world, the report says.

-Will we learn the name of the new royal baby today? Maybe. The first child of the Duke and Duchess of Sussexwas born early Monday. Meghan and Harry skipped the traditional post-birth photo-op, and Buckingham Palace wouldn't confirm where the baby -- a boy -- was born. But mother and child "are doing incredibly well," an elated Prince Harry later told reporters. As for the name, it could take up to 10 days before it's announced. The favorites are Albert, Philip and Arthur.
