North Korea Fires Short-Range Missile

(Seoul) -- The tensions between the U.S. and North Korea are rising after a short-range missile was launched near the coast of that country Saturday morning.

South Korean military officials confirmed the launch. They could not provide additional details, saying they are still analyzing the data.

North Korea had halted its nuclear program while talks with President Trump proceeded. However, Trump's summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un broke down in Vietnam. Since then North Korea has restarted activity at its nuclear facility and now conducted two weapons tests.
