BIG 3

1 AG Barr will not be appearing before the house judiciary committee today after his testimony in the Senate.

Barr objected to plans from Democrats on the committee to use outside counsel to question him about the Mueller report, saying that he would only answer questions from the lawmakers instead.

Democrats now have the choice to subpoena the attorney general, which would be a very contentious decision.

2 A Big Rapids college student caught up in a national political scandal says he was coerced into going along with a lie that 2020 candidate Mayor Pete raped him.

Hunter Kelly, says he signed a document saying Mayor Pete assaulted him at a Washington hotel.

He said he was promised up to $1 million, a new house and book deal to keep up the lie, which he said was concocted by conservative operatives Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman.

3 Happy birthday Grand Rapids!

Hudsonville Ice Cream says they'll be hosting an official birthday bash from 4 until 7 p.m. in Rosa Parks Circle today with free ice cream! GR is celebrating its 169th.
