EAST LANSING, Mich (via WOOD TV 8)— After a disappointing loss to Texas Tech, many saddened Michigan State University fans flooded East Lansing's streets and sidewalks late Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Thousands went to East Lansing ahead of the Final Four matchup in Minneapolis. After the game, crowds of MSU fans gathered outside, chanting and jumping. One man could be seen on video hoisting up a road closure sign.
While the crowd was rowdy and rambunctious, fans didn't appear to be violent as of late Saturday night.
Police watched close by with riot gear on. Officials were anticipating huge crowds and took proactive steps before Saturday's game.
