SPCA of SW Mich seeks CD players, music for shelter pets

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A West Michigan branch of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is giving animal lovers another good reason to do some spring cleaning.

SPCA of Southwest Michigan is asking the community for CD players, classical music CDs, MP3 players, old speakers and boomboxes to help comfort shelter dogs and cats until they find their new homes.

“We know that most of you have these items laying around collecting dust. Please donate them so they can be put to use to help our animal population be less stressed and more relaxed,” the group posted onits Facebook page last week.

People can drop off their donations anytime during the Kalamazoo organization’s business hours. SPCA of Southwest Michigan is located at 6955 W KL Ave. and open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
