BIG 3

1 All 16 charges against actor, Jussie Smollett, have been dropped. Chicago prosecutors shocked even the mayor and Police superintendent, Eddie Johnson, who were “livid.”

His record wiped clean and the case, sealed all in exchange for forfeiting his $10,000 bond and community service (already performed.)

Now, Smollett claims he’s been vindicated.

But what about the brothers who claim they were paid to fake the attack? What about the check? The video footage of the brothers buying all of the material?

Even though the state charges have been dropped. Could he be charged federally?

2 In the wake of two Boeing 737 MAX crashes in a five month span, the Senate Aviation and Space Subcommittee will hold a hearing this afternoon on 'The State of Airline Safety: Federal Oversight of Commercial Aviation.'   Yesterday a Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 Max made a safe emergency landing in Orlando after experiencing an engine problem

3 If you hear tornado sirens today, don’t worry. It’s just part of a voluntary statewide drill taking place at 1pm

President Trump awards the posthumous Medal of Honor to Staff Sergeant Travis Atkins today for conspicuous gallantry in Iraq in June 2017. Atkins engaged in hand-to-hand combat with an insurgent who was about to trigger a suicide vest. Atkins used his own body to shield three teammates from the explosion.

Vice President Mike Pence is calling for landing astronauts on the moon within five years. At a meeting of the National Space Council in Huntsville, Alabama, on Tuesday, Pence said NASA needs to achieve that goal "by any means necessary." He says NASA rockets will be replaced by commercial rockets, if necessary, given this new sense of urgency. This summer marks the 50th anniversary of the first manned moon landing.
