Skeletal remains discovered in Kent County

ALPINE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The Kent County Sheriff’s Office is trying to determine the identity of skeletal remains found in Alpine Township.

Sgt. Joel Roon confirms the remains were found at 6 Mile Road in Kenowa Avenue, near the Kent County border with Ottawa County.

Roon said authorities were called to the scene Sunday. The circumstances surrounding the discovery is unclear.
