GRPD: Hudsonville man likely died in Plaster Creek crash

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police are identifying the driver they say likely died after crashing his car into Plaster Creek.

Officers say 25-year-old Austin James Huisingh of Hudsonville was the only person inside the black Audi that witnesses said was barreling down Market Avenue SW before the Saturday night crash. Police say the vehicle crossed the center line into the oncoming lanes before jumping the curb and crashing through the guardrail into the water below.

Witnesses said they didn’t see anyone emerge from the creek, but theAudi was emptywhen a cranelifted it out of Plaster Creekthe next day.
