Judge: Nationwide extradition for person of interest in GR murders

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A nationwide extradition request has been issued for a man who's been named a person of interest in a double murder in Grand Rapids, police say.

Derrell Brown, 45, of Grand Rapids, was previously named a person of interest in the shooting deaths ofCherletta Baber-Bey, 47, and Keyona Griffin, 25. Their bodies were found inside a homeon Sheldon Avenue SE in Grand Rapids on March 13.

Police now say Brown has a felony warrant for receiving and concealing a stolen gun. A judge has ordered that if police pick him up anywhere in the country, he must be extradited back to Grand Rapids.
