Mother reacts to new arrests in son's murder

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Even though it's been five months since Benjamin Coates’ body was found in a car submerged beneath a bridge over Plaster Creek in Wyoming, his mom, Lynette Johnson, says the pain is just as sharp.

Johnson says Coates’ daughter, Malia Joy – who turns 3 in two weeks – doesn't understand where her daddy is. 

"She says, ‘Daddy's at work,’" Johnson told 24 Hour News 8.
