Teen tied to cellphone store thefts enters plea

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A teenager who was among several people arrested in connection to a string of cellphone store robberies in Kent County has taken a plea deal.

Ziquadreon White pleaded guilty to receiving and concealing between $200 and $1,000 in stolen property during a Feb. 21 court hearing, administrators say. In return, authorities agreed to dismiss charges of assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer and attempting to assault, resist or obstruct a police officer.

White wasarrested Nov. 29at a hotel in Wyoming, along with five others. Four of them were ultimately released because of a lack of evidence. The other teen arrested, Haracio Harris, is awaiting trial on an armed robbery charge.

Police identified two other suspects and warned the could be even more connected tothe crimes, which happened from Nov. 12 to Nov. 30.

White is expected back in a Grand Rapids courtroom for sentencing in April.
