GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Snow and strong winds created dangerous driving conditions Monday morning, leading to several crashes and highway closures.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Department advised drivers to use caution on US-131 after multiple crashes and slideoffs Monday. There are no reports of serious injuries.

The Kent County Road Commission said low temperatures and blowing snow created icy and slippery road conditions for Monday's morning commute. State roads were treated overnight, but the road commission said the combination of low temperatures, wind and blowing snow caused them to refreeze.
The weather is also impacting flights at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport. Passengers can check real-time flight information online before heading to the airport.
Drivers can track the progress of the MDOT snowplows from the safety of home before hitting the road. Some plows are also equipped with cameras, allowing visitors to see the roads as they are cleared. The map is visible on the Mi Drive website.
West Michigan experienced similar conditions Sunday when high winds and snow caused several crashes and road closures.
