2 Kent Co. courts offer fee amnesty program in March

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — Next month, two Kent County courts will be offering deals to people with unpaid tickets and court fees: pay them off and you won’t go to jail.

For the entire month of March, 62-B District Court in Kentwood and 63rd District Court in Grand Rapids Township will cancel outstanding warrants for people who have failed to pay court-ordered fines, fees, court costs or traffic and parking tickets that have gone into default or suspension.

People can set up payment plans to clear their debts to the court without the fear of being jailed for late payment, and to get any related license suspension lifted.
