HASTINGS, Mich. (via WOOD TV) — A father and son are dead after a crash in Barry County.
The Michigan State Police Wayland post says it happened Saturday night just before 7 p.m. on Charlton Park Road south of Center Road in Hastings Township.
That's where, troopers say, a 55-year-old man lost control of the car and crashed into a tree. His 12-year-old son was also in the car. They both died at the scene.
State police say alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the wreck.
