2 injured in Wyoming apartment fire

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Two people were hospitalized after a Wyoming apartment building caught fire Thursday night.

The fire broke out on the first floor of the building just before 9:30 on the 2200 block of 29th Street east of Byron Center Avenue.

Authorities on scene said about 10 people were trapped inside and residents reported the fire was blocking the building's exits.

Firefighters successfully rescued those trapped and said all residents were accounted for.
