ZEELAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say they've arrested the man who shot an acquaintance at a mobile home park south of Zeeland last week.
Demetrio Flores, 25, of Holland Township, faces charges of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, being a felon in possession of a firearm, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and first-degree home invasion.
The shooting happened shortly before 9 p.m. Jan. 15 on Lindy Lane at Ottogan Mobile Home Estates off Ottogan Street in Zeeland Township. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says Flores broke into the victim's home and shot him in the midsection. Authorities say the two men know one another.
The victim, whose name was not included in a Thursday release, was treated and released from the hospital.
