Griffins host 17th annual 'Great Skate Winterfest' this weekend

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (via WOOD TV 8) —The Grand Rapids Griffins will be skating for 34 consecutive hours this weekend to raise money for underprivileged youth in the area.

The popular Great Skate Winterfest at Rosa Parks Circle in downtown Grand Rapids begins at noon on Saturday Jan. 19. and runs until 10 p.m. on Sunday Jan. 20.

Those who attend will be able to skate with Griffins players and mascots Griff and Finn during the 17th annual Great Skate.
