OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are releasing the name of an Allegan man hit and killed while crossing a road near Kalamazoo.
Edward Howell Jr. was in the 3800 block of S. 9th Street when he was hit around 11:10 p.m. on Dec. 8. He died at an area hospital.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office says it’s still looking for the driver who hit the 45-year-old man then continued north on 9th Street. Based on debris left at the scene, investigators believe the suspect’s vehicle is a black 2007 or 2008 Pontiac Torrent. It will have a damaged passenger's side headlight and is missing its passenger side mirror.
