GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — Hundreds of people from different churches gathered in Grandville Thursday to show their appreciation for the men and women protecting West Michigan.
Officers from seven local police agencies where recognized during the Thank You to Our Protectors Ceremony at Resurrection Life Church. The event included a musical performance by children from the church and a prayer service for the officers.
Organizers said the event helps build a bridge between police and the community, and is just a small way to show their appreciation.
