GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Country music star Kenny Chesney is coming to Grand Rapids’ Van Andel Arena.
The venue announced Chesney’s stop Thursday as part of his Songs for the Saints 2019 tour. Chesney will perform at 11 cities during the three-month stint. Grand Rapids is his only stop currently scheduled in Michigan.
All of the venues are smaller than Chesney’s past performance spots.
In a news release announcing the tour, the eight-time Entertainer of the Year said he wanted to “make it a little more intimate” and that he also “love(s) the idea of really being able to see the back of the room.”
