GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are looking for the person who set several fires at businesses along S. Division Avenue in southern Kent County Friday.
Kent County dispatchers told 24 Hour News 8 that the fires popped up at separate locations on S. Division Avenue between 68th and 76th streets on the border of Gaines and Byron townships.
Firefighters say a pickup truck was set on fire at Big Ray's Oil Change, which spread to a Toyota Avalon parked next to it. The owner of the pickup truck told 24 Hour News 8 they were planning to give the vehicle to their pastor as a gift.
