Ineligible Ferris State student played in 4 games

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Four of the Ferris State football team's wins may be in jeopardy because one of the Bulldogs' players shouldn't have been on the field.

Ferris State hasn't released the name of the student-athlete involved, but 24 Hour News 8 has identified him through sources as defensive lineman Dan Perry.

Perry initially wrestled for Michigan in the 2016-17 school year, then transferred to Kent State to play football in the fall of 2017. When he moved again to Ferris State, he should have been required to sit out a full year under the NCAA"s one-time transfer rule — but he played the first four games this season, all of which the Bulldogs won.
