ICCF buys more GR area homes to counteract rising rates

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Inner City Christian Federation says it has purchased dozens of properties in the greater Grand Rapids area in its bid to preserve affordable housing in the area.

The ICCF says it bought 28 properties, in addition to the 177 properties it purchased last November as part of its Community Homes Initiative.

The ICCF is concerned about longtime residents being displaced by rapidly rising rental and home prices in Grand Rapids.
