GR seeks redevelopment grant for West Side gas station

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — City officials have asked for state funds to help cleanup and redevelop a contaminated brownfield site on Grand Rapids’ West Side.

The city applied for a grant up to $372,000 from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality to help fund the redevelopment and cleanup of the BP gas station at 438 Stocking Avenue NW, near the Bridge Street Market-Hendrik development.
