GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a cannabis summit Thursday.
People at the summit will learn about the impact of marijuana legalization and medicinal marijuana facilities on a city from someone who has experienced it firsthand.
The owner of a pot shop in Boulder, Colorado will be at the summit to talk about how legalization has affected his city and state, including what it could mean for Grand Rapids.
"We want the ability of our members to come and ask questions whether I'm a building owner, a restaurant owner, property owner or maybe a manufacturer who is having questions about how it works in his workplace," said Grand Rapids Chamber Director of Government Affairs Joshua Lunger.
Panel discussions will be held on human resource issues, local and out-of-state business impacts, and legal implications. City staff, commissioners and legal experts will also be there and take part in the conversations.
