GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The finalists for ArtPrize 10 have been chosen, and now art critics are weighing in on whether they're any good.
In "Why These Finalists?" Monday, panelists gave their honest — sometimes brutally honest — opinions on the two-dimensional and installation artworks on the jurors' Shortlist and the public's Final 20 picks.
Only two artworks, both 2-D pieces and displayed at DeVos Place, are on both lists: "THE STRING PROJECT" by Chelsea Nix and Mariano Cortez and "Mastermind America" by Alexi Torres.
