Roadwork to resume immediately despite labor dispute

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Work on Michigan road projects being delayed by a labor dispute will resume immediately after an agreement between the two involved parties.

Gov. Rick Snyder announced in a statement Thursday that work will begin on the state’s road projects immediately. The statement said the contractors’ association and the operating engineers’ union involved in the dispute agreed to continue working without a contract through the 2018 construction season.
