The woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault wants an FBI investigation to take place before she testifies in any Senate hearing on the allegations.
In a letter addressed to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, Christine Blasey Ford's lawyer says a proper investigation will ensure the facts and witnesses are assessed in a non-partisan manner.
Ford claims Kavanaugh held her down and groped her when they were both teenagers.
Kavanaugh has denied the allegations and says he will cooperate in a Senate hearing next Monday.
