Surveying damage after severe weather

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — In the area near the Barry and Kalamazoo county border, residents said they could see the tornadoes shaking the treetops, but the worst of it avoided more densely populated areas.

Hickory Corners and Richland were pretty much unscathed without so much as a tipped-over trash can.

It was the area along the north end of Little Long Lake — which runs just north of Gull Lake, west of M-43 — where the most damage occurred in this area.
