Round 3: Storms knock out power again across W MI

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Round three of storms moved through West Michigan Tuesday night, bringing torrential rain and strong winds and again knocking out power across the region.

About 115,000 Consumers Energy customers statewide lost power, including tens of thousands in West Michigan. Consumers' interactive outage map, which updates in real time, showed the following outages as of 7:45 a.m.:

  • Allegan County: 3,638
  • Barry County: 355
  • Ionia County: 551
  • Kalamazoo County: 190
  • Kent County: 7,116
  • Mason County: 7,196
  • Mecosta County: 4,550
  • Montcalm County: 714
  • Muskegon County: 2,235
  • Newaygo County: 2,364
  • Oceana County: 1,627
  • Ottawa County: 591
  • Van Buren County: 323
