3 shootings in Grand Rapids Thursday; no arrests

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are investigating three separate shootings in Grand Rapids Thursday night. 

The Grand Rapids Police Department told 24 Hour News 8 that the first shooting happened around 7 p.m. at Elliot Street SE and Thelma Avenue SE near the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Burton Street. 

Witnesses told authorities that shots were exchanged between two vehicles. There are no reports of injuries or suspect descriptions. 

The second shooting happened shortly before 9 p.m. in the area of Franklin Avenue and Union Street SE.

One person was shot in the leg. No one had been arrested Thursday night.
