PARCHMENT, Mich. (WOOD) — The water distribution center for residents impacted by the PFAS contamination in Parchment is moving.
The center at Parchment High School will be closed Friday so the school can prepare for the start of the upcoming school year.
Water will be distributed at its normal hours of noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at Parchment High School before the switch. The center will reopen Saturday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Haven Reformed Church, located at 5350 N Sprinkle Rd. in Kalamazoo.
The distribution center’s new hours will be 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Residents will still need to verify their address when they pick up water at the new locations. On-site recycling will be available at the church to return used water bottles.
