A driver is in police custody after allegedly crashing his car into security barriers outside British Parliament in London, according to Metropolitan Police.
At 0737hrs today, a car was in collision with barriers outside the Houses of Parliament. The male driver of the car was detained by officers at the scene. A number of pedestrians have been injured. Officials have said "a number" of pedestrians were injured, but police have not yet said exactly how many people were injured.
It is not yet clear if authorities are treating the incident as an act of terror.
