Kzoo man accused of killing woman headed to trial

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A Kalamazoo man facing charges in the murder of his girlfriend is headed to trial.

The next court date for 25-year-old Donnovan Lewis, who is accused of murdering Aniya Mack, is set for Aug. 20 after he waived a preliminary hearing on Aug. 2.

Lewis is facing a charge of open murder in Mack’s death. Her body was found in a creek in Comstock Township on June 28, four days after she had been reported missing by family.
