HASTINGS, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are releasing the names of the victims in an apparent double murder-suicide that happened at a Hastings home.
Police Monday identified the victims as 77-year-old Judith Wilson and her husband, 79-year-old Robert Wilson. Officers say 54-year-old Richard Garrett Wilson shot and killed the couple before turning the gun on himself. Richard Garret Wilson is the couple’s son, who also lived at the home, according to police.
Officers were called the family’s home in the 1600 block of Lavender Drive Sunday morning, after a friend discovered their bodies. The friend had gone to the home because the family didn’t show up at church.
It’s unclear what sparked the crime.
