Amber Alert suspect plans to return missing GR boy, 1

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The suspect in an Amber Alert for a missing 1-year-old boy from Grand Rapids tells 24 Hour News 8 she plans to return the child.

On FaceTime, 19-year-old Iyesha Catherine Gibbs told 24 Hour News 8 she "just wanted to see him for a minute."

Miquis Lamont Jenkins was last seen with Gibbs, who often babysits the boy. She was supposed to watch him for a few hours, but the two haven't been seen by the baby's family since they left Cambridge Apartments around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to Miquis' mother, Laquaya Gillard.

GIllard began messaging and calling the babysitter just before 5 p.m. Wednesday on Facebook. She could see Gibbs was seeing the messages, but was not responding. Gillard says the babysitter blocked her on Facebook just before 11 p.m. Wednesday.
