Authorities seek suspect in 2 armed gas station robberies

OVERISEL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are searching for the  suspect in connection to two armed robberies at gas stations in Allegan  and Ottawa counties Monday.

The first robbery happened shortly after 6:30 a.m. at the Mobil gas station, located at 1122 Lincoln Avenue in Holland.

The  Holland Department of Public Safety said a man armed with a handgun  demanded cash. The suspect was able to get away with undisclosed cash  and seen driving away southbound on Lincoln Avenue.

About  20 minutes later, the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a  similar armed robbery at the Mobile gas station, located at 3604 Lincoln  Avenue near 136th Avenue, north of Hamilton.

Authorities  described the suspect as being around 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7 with a slim  build. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark-colored jacket,  camo-colored face covering and black and white Converse Chuck Taylor  shoes.

The suspect vehicle is described as a four-door silver car with maroon hood. The make and model are unknown at this time.
