Man arrested after being found near crash with weapon

COOPERSVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — A Wyoming man was arrested last week after authorities say he fled the scene of crash and was found with a firearm nearby.

The incident happened around 2:13 a.m. July 13 on westbound I-96 near the 17-mile marker in Polkton Township.

When officers arrived to the scene of a one-car crash on I-96, they found 24-year-old Joshua Gryzen had fled on foot and tracked him to a grassy area. He was seen laying on his back with a rifle by his hand and didn’t respond to verbal instruction given by responding officers, authorities said.
