PORTAGE, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are searching for the driver who crashed into a fire hydrant after fleeing police during a traffic stop.
The Portage Department of Public Safety said an officer stopped a 2014 Mazda for a traffic violation around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday on Milham Avenue near Constitution Boulevard. When the officer walked to the car, police say the driver took off eastbound on Milham.
