A Touchdown of An Event Put On By Kent City Schools to Raise Money for Vets

On Friday, July 20, Kent City will host a fund-raising, 7-on-7 tournament featuring 15 schools from the Greater West Michigan area.

Scheduled to join Kent City in the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans 7-on-7 Tournament are Big Rapids, Cedar Springs, Fremont, Fruitport, Grant, Kalamazoo Loy Norrix, Ludington, Oakridge, Orchard View, North Muskegon, Reed City, Saranac, Wyoming and Wyoming Kelloggsville. Kent City has six more schools on board to participate this year as compared to last year.

The tournament will start at 3 p.m. and wrap up under the lights. Choice One Bank has partnered with Kent City football and it's sponsoring the event. Donations will be collected, rather than charging admission. The event also will feature a 50/50 raffle, the concession stand will be open, and T-shirts will be sold.

Kent City Principal Bill Crane stopped by to fill you in on this great event!
