Mecosta Co. authorities seek bank robbery suspect

BIG RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (via WOOD TV 8) — Authorities are asking for the public's help to find the suspect in a bank robbery near Big Rapids Thursday.

The Isabella Bank on Perry Street east of US-131 in Big Rapids Township was robbed around 12:45 p.m. The Mecosta County Sheriff's Office said the robber demanded money from tellers and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The sheriff's office said it identified the suspect as Nicholas Nelson, 23, of Newaygo.
