1 killed after vehicle hit by semi-truck on US-31

OLIVE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — One person was killed and another injured after a three-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on US-31 Wednesday morning. 

It happened around 7:30 a.m. on southbound US-31 near the Port Sheldon Street intersection in Olive Township, north of Holland.

Deputies on scene told 24 Hour News 8 that the semi-truck was heading southbound when the driver failed to stop at the intersection, hitting a Jeep that was stopped at the light. The impact of the crash caused the Jeep to hit a second stopped vehicle.
